Hi! Kelly West here, founder & consultant behind homebody.

For a little about me - I am a mama to my 4 year old daughter in Santa Fe, New Mexico. I am a land caretaker, creative & maker, birthday cake baker, loud laugher, late night talker, someone who cares & feels very deeply (and is finally loving this), and more, which will surely be shared in time.

I am also a certified Postpartum & Foundational Nutrition Consultant and have a BA in Family & Human Development and Anthropology, with additional studies in Studio Art and Psychology.

I have spent most of my life in deep relationship exploring what "health" looks and feels like. I've experienced chronic migraine since early adolescence and a long list of other limiting symptoms & diagnosis since their onset - meaning I've lived with a chronically unwell body for the majority of my life. While this feels like a complicated statement to identify with and make peace with, it is growing easier. I see clearly how incredibly impactful it has to my life through its pains, but also in the patience, tenderness and strength that has been informed through them.

I now live from the intersection of knowing the body's ability to heal, even if in little pieces at a time and of knowing that symptoms can often be a call for support that is missing - all the while making peace with the fact our bodies are of a perfectly imperfect earth.

We are living in times that are demanding to our bodies in ways far different than ever before, and the impact of those demands looks different for each body. Acknowledging this does not erase us from accountability. Rather, I feel, it creates space to stop shaming ourselves for the waves within our healing narrative and brings compassion to the fact it can be so exhausting to fight for what seems to be a birthright. It invites us to become more intimate with the living landscape of relationships we are part of and how our unique constitutions cope & interact with them. This to me is where we meet otherwise hidden parts of ourselves and discover health we actively cultivate.

I'm here to hold the duality that we can live in responsive, communicative bodies without judgment, and we can participate in unearthing increased well-being even still.

These diverse but deeply interwoven areas
